ADVANCED TUNG STYLE ACUPUNCTURE VOL. 5 ANESTHESIOLOGY/PAIN MANAGEMENT The Acupuncture of Master Tung Ching-Chang & It’s Application in Anesthesiology/Pain Management Volume 5: Anesthesiology/Pain Management Sample Pages What this book is: HOMEVolume 5 in the Advanced Tung Style Acupuncture Series is solely concerned with the application of Master Tung’s Acupuncture in a pain management setting. As with the previous volumes, it is entitled ‘Advanced Tung Style Acupuncture’ because it implies that the user has already had a course in Master Tung’s Acupuncture (e.g., that presented by Drs. Wei-Chieh Young, Min-Chuan Wang, Palden Carson, Robert Chu, Esther Su, Richard Tan, Miriam Lee, Susan Johnson, etc.). Ergo, this text is not intended for use by the novice, but rather, as a reference by those who already have a working knowledge of Master Tung’s Acupuncture. This volume presents over 270 prescriptions which have been compiled, collated, and translated from the Chinese language sources and are designed to give the busy clinician a ‘cut to the chase’ approach to managing pain syndromes as encountered in the typical pain management clinic. Accompanying diagrams illustrating the locations of the suggested points were added to facilitate the author-specific applications in the respective pain condition. What this book is not: Volume 5, as with the previous volumes, is not an introductory text or a ‘primer’ in the acupuncture of Master Tung Ching-Chang. Neither is it a preparatory text on the TCM approach to pain management; there are an ample number of texts available regarding these topics available in the marketplace. How Volume 5 is arranged: The text is arranged to address pain syndromes/painful conditions in 5 separate anatomical locations, nominally the: Upper Extremity, Lower Extremity, Head/Face, Chest/Thorax, and Vertebral Column. Appendices include a point index and a pain index. ORDER |
